National Police Week, observed annually in May, serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers across the nation. It’s a time to honor those who have fallen in the line of duty and to express gratitude to the brave men and women who continue to protect and serve our communities.
The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 74 takes an active role in commemorating National Police Week. Through a series of events and initiatives, we strive to:
- Remember the Fallen: We participate in memorial services and ceremonies, paying tribute to the officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
- Support the Families: We offer support and resources to the families of fallen officers, ensuring they know they are not alone.
- Promote Community Engagement: We organize events that foster positive relationships between law enforcement and the community, building trust and understanding.
- Advocate for Officer Safety: We work tirelessly to improve officer safety and advocate for policies that protect those who protect us.
National Police Week is a time for reflection and gratitude. FOP Lodge 74 is proud to stand with our brothers and sisters in law enforcement, honoring the fallen and supporting those who continue to serve.
We will never forget their sacrifice.
